The State Ballet of Rhode Island, founded in 1967, is Rhode Island's longest standing civic ballet company, now in its 65th season. The company provides education and entertainment in classical ballet, fostering future professionals and showcasing local talent. The State Ballet of Rhode Island had its premiere performance in Rhode Island at Veterans Memorial Auditorium November 19, 1960.
