About
The Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Department has been serving Bethel, CT since 1949. It started with Anthony J. Rubino, Michael Hugyo Jr., Julius “George” Hugyo and Harry Lent, who wanted to establish a local fire company. The company was officially incorporated as a nonprofit. The Ladies Auxiliary was formed in 1950 to support the Company. The first firehouse was built in 1951. The company also provides ambulance service to the community.

Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company provides fire, EMS, and rescue services for the town of Bethel, CT. They are a volunteer fire company committed to protecting the property and people in the community.
