About
Students Supporting Brain Tumor Research (SSBTR), founded in 2002, empowers students to become leaders while raising funds for brain tumor research. Inspired by students who succumbed to brain tumors, SSBTR provides education and leadership development. The student-run nonprofit's centerpiece is its annual cure-a-thon. SSBTR has raised over $2.6 million, with 93% going to institutions like Barrow Neurological Institute and Phoenix Children's Hospital.
Mission
Students Supporting Brain Tumor Research's mission is to provide education and leadership development to youth, furnish a platform for them to play a principal role in effecting positive changes, promote awareness of how common brain tumors are, and act as outreach to support affected individuals and their families.
