Surgery on Sunday, founded in 2006 in Lexington, KY, provides free outpatient surgical services to uninsured/underinsured individuals. Volunteers, including surgeons and nurses, donate their time to offer procedures, dental care, and eye surgery. SOS aims to relieve patients of disease and pain without financial burden. Over 6,000 surgeries have been performed thanks to nearly 300 volunteers.
