About
Taratibu Youth Association (TYA), founded in 2007, offers a transformative performing arts experience for youth of the African diaspora. Through programs like vocal music, dance (modern, ballet, hip-hop, African), and drumming, TYA preserves African and African American culture. TYA's mission is to cultivate socially-responsible change agents. Performances include the Atlas Theatre, Smithsonian Folklife Festival, and international tours.
