The Alabama Veterans Memorial Foundation, est. 1988, honors Alabama veterans who served since 1900. It created the Alabama Veterans Memorial Park (dedicated in 2001), later donated to Mountain Brook in 2023, and continues to support it with events. The foundation aims to educate young people about war, peace, and civic duty, ensuring lasting tribute to those who served.
