About
The Jewish Institute for the Blind Jerusalem (JIB), founded in 1902, empowers visually impaired individuals in Israel. Originally established to aid a blind child in Jerusalem, JIB has grown into a respected institution offering education, vocational training, and a wide array of extracurricular activities. JIB operates a special education school, enrichment programs, a youth movement, and sports programs (goalball, swimming, judo, chess). They aim to foster a world of acceptance where individuals with blindness can thrive.
Mission
The Jewish Institute for the Blind educates, enriches, and empowers visually impaired individuals across Israel, helping them achieve their full potential and contribute in meaningful ways to their communities.
