The Life Experience School, founded in 1972, is associated with the Peace Abbey. It provides opportunities for children and young adults to serve and promote peace. The school has a peacemaking mission and is dedicated to Robert F. Kennedy. Mother Teresa visited the school in 1988 in support of its peace work. The students engage in community service projects.

The Life Experience School is an alternative day program for individuals with special needs who dedicate their lives to providing humanitarian services to their community. The school's peacemaking mission took on greater meaning after a student's passing, shaping its philosophy and programs.
