The Syracuse Sounds of Music Association, founded in 2006 (originally Syracuse Symphony Association in 1960), supports music in Central New York by providing grants to non-profits with music programs, music education, or community support through music. They are a major sponsor of The Syracuse Orchestra, contributing to concerts and series, and advocate for music throughout Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Onondaga, Oneida, and Oswego counties.
