The Wilderness Arts and Literacy Collaborative (WALC), est. 1999, is an academic program serving students at two San Francisco high schools. WALC uses environmental themes & field studies to integrate science, social studies, English, art, tech, & math. It provides underserved youth a transformative education model, integrating environmental & social justice principles.
