The Tibetan Terrier Health and Welfare Foundation, established in 2007 by the Tibetan Terrier Club of America, is dedicated to ensuring the breed's healthy future. It funds research into genetic diseases, such as PRA, NCL and PLL, and provides grants for TT rescue operations. They have helped fund research that led to DNA tests for NCL and PLL.
