Tougaloo College, founded in 1869, is a historically black, coeducational, liberal arts institution in Jackson, Mississippi. It was founded by the American Missionary Association. Tougaloo played a pivotal role in the Civil Rights Movement. The college offers diverse academic programs and has partnerships with various institutions.
