About
USA Track & Field (USATF), founded in 1983, is the National Governing Body for track and field, long distance running, and race walking in the United States. Based in Indianapolis, USATF develops and leads Team USATF at the Olympics, World Championships, and other international events. They also establish grassroots programs like the Junior Olympics and promote training and competition for all ages, sanctioning over 8,000 events annually.
