Vajradhatu, founded in 1975 by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, was an umbrella organization for his teachings of Tibetan Buddhism in the West. Later renamed Shambhala International, it is a global community centered on meditation, believing in the basic goodness of humanity and bringing together people from all walks of life.
