About
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Department of New Hampshire, founded in 1963, is rooted in the late 19th-century struggles of veterans seeking care and benefits. From its origins securing rights for Spanish-American War veterans, the VFW has been instrumental in establishing the Veterans Administration, creating GI Bills, and advocating for veterans exposed to Agent Orange and suffering from Gulf War Syndrome. Members volunteer millions of hours annually and provide college scholarships.
Mission
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Department of New Hampshire is dedicated to supporting veterans, service members in the US Armed Forces, and their communities through fraternal, patriotic, historical, charitable, and educational programs.
