The VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS OF THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF OHIO, founded in 1968, is a fraternal, patriotic, historical, charitable, and educational organization. They preserve comradeship among members, assist worthy comrades, perpetuate the memory of our dead, assist their families, maintain allegiance to the U.S., foster patriotism, and defend American freedom. Their programs include public servant awards, JROTC Cadet of the Year, Employer of the Year, Oral History program, Buddy Poppy, and youth activities.
