The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Department of Georgia, founded in 1977, serves and advocates for veterans, service members, and their families. It provides support through community outreach, legislative advocacy, and programs assisting those who have served. The VFW fosters camaraderie among veterans and ensures they receive the benefits and recognition they deserve through veteran assistance, scholarships, and community service.
Mission
Supporting Georgia veterans of foreign wars through administered programs as a subordinate unit of the VFW, with all expenditures aimed at veteran support. Their primary mission is to provide relief and support to needy veterans, widows, orphans, and other individuals in distress.
