Promotes patriotism by teaching young people and new citizens about American heritage and the importance of the US Flag.
Auxiliary Outreach
Partners with other organizations to benefit the community through volunteer work and collaborative projects.
"Buddy"® Poppy & VFW National Home
Provides compensation to disabled and needy veterans who assemble Buddy Poppies, and supports the VFW National Home for Children.
Extension & Revitalization
Establishes new auxiliaries and maintains existing ones through mentoring and knowledge of traditions.
Historian & Media Relations
Preserves the history of the Auxiliary by documenting events and promoting its activities through media.
Hospital
Promotes volunteerism in hospitals, veterans' homes and nursing homes to support veterans' well-being.
Legislative
Assists the VFW in advocating for legislation that benefits veterans and their families.
Membership
Encourages membership to support America's veterans.
Mentoring for Leadership
Develops leadership skills within the Auxiliary by mentoring members and preparing them for leadership roles.
Scholarships
Offers scholarships and participates in contests to promote patriotism and support students' education.
Veterans & Family Support
Provides financial and other support to veterans and their families, addressing their needs and well-being.
Youth Activities
Sponsors and works with youth groups, teaching them skills to become responsible adults and honoring veterans.
