Voices For Kids CASA of Southeast Virginia, founded in 2008, supports abused and neglected children by providing court-appointed volunteer advocates. CASA volunteers ensure each child's best interests are represented in court, striving for a safe, permanent, and nurturing home. Volunteers undergo 35 hours of training and work to provide continuity for the child throughout the legal proceedings.
Mission
Voices for Kids CASA Program of Southeast Virginia recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers to speak for the best interests of abused and neglected children whose welfare has been brought to the attention of the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, helping to ensure a safe, permanent, nurturing home.
