The Forty & Eight, founded in 1940, is an honor society of American veterans committed to charitable and patriotic aims. They uphold the Constitution, promote veterans' well-being, and support programs for child welfare and nurses training. Their Nurses Training Program, established in 1955, has provided scholarships to over 32,000 individuals to address nursing shortages.
Mission
