About
Founded in 1986, the Volunteer English Program in Chester County (VEP) connects volunteers with adult English language learners, providing free, one-to-one tutoring and cultural enrichment. VEP empowers immigrants and refugees to gain English skills and cultural understanding, enhancing their economic and social quality of life. The program offers community-based tutoring, available seven days a week, and trains over 100 new volunteer tutors each year.
Mission
Volunteer English Program in Chester County welcomes immigrants and refugees who seek to empower themselves through English language skills and American cultural understanding. The program supports all language speakers, upwards to 30 of the 58 spoken in Chester County alone.
