About
Volunteers in Psychotherapy (VIP), founded in 1998, provides affordable, private psychotherapy in exchange for volunteer work. Clients donate time to a charity of their choice, promoting community involvement and self-sufficiency. VIP addresses limited access and lack of privacy in public clinics and managed care. Richard Shulman, Ph.D., founded VIP after working at Hartford Hospital.
Mission
Volunteers In Psychotherapy is dedicated to providing affordable and truly private psychotherapy for the community, in exchange for volunteer work clients donate to the charity of their choice.
