Established in 1962 as Washington State Hospital Education and Research Foundation (WSHERF), Washington Health Foundation initially served the education and research needs of the Washington State Hospital Association. Its mission evolved to improving the health of people in Washington, and later expanded to include the nation. WHF promotes health system improvement through communications and policy initiatives.
Mission
Washington Square Health Foundation grants funds to promote and maintain access to adequate healthcare for all people in the Chicagoland area, regardless of race, sex, creed, or financial status.
