WAWA PROJECT, founded in 2011, empowers people with disabilities by providing education and life skills training. Based in Boston, this volunteer-based nonprofit works in Ghana, West Africa, modifying school grounds to be handicap accessible to bring students with disabilities back into the classroom, with the goal of building inclusive, self-sustaining communities.
