The Wayland Museum & Historical Society, founded in 1958, preserves and shares Wayland's history. It owns the Grout-Heard House Museum, hosts events, and collects historical objects. Its mission is to bring Wayland's history to life and connect the past to the present, inspiring future generations.

The Wayland Museum and Historical Society is dedicated to preserving, interpreting and sharing the history of the Town of Wayland. The Society collects, preserves, and interprets objects and records relating to the rich history of Wayland and its people.
