The Wayzata Fishing Team, founded in 2017, provides students in grades 9-12 with the opportunity to learn and improve their angling skills through teamwork and shared fishing practices. The team promotes catch and release fishing and fosters a lifelong appreciation for the sport. They are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

The Wayzata Fishing Team provides a team environment that facilitates improving the angling skills of all team members through cooperation and sharing of best fishing practices and methods, creating lifelong anglers.
