Debut Orchestra
A learning ensemble for musicians with 1-3 years of experience, playing classical to contemporary music.

Concert Orchestra
An orchestra for musicians with 3-7 years of experience, tackling challenging orchestral works.

Symphony Orchestra
An orchestra for experienced musicians tackling major works from standard orchestra literature.

Wind Symphony
An ensemble for students and adults with 6+ years of experience, playing symphonic wind standards.

Student Beginning Strings
An introductory ensemble for students in grades 4-8 in their first two years of playing string instruments. Free to participate.

Adult Beginning Strings
An introductory ensemble for adults to learn orchestral string instruments, no experience needed.

Play-Along in the Park
Fun music in a relaxed setting. Open to everyone and free to participate in the park during summer.

Instrument Petting Zoo
An event where kids can try out string, wind, and percussion instruments.

Honor Student Program
A program supporting high school musicians preparing for college music programs with coaching and audition prep.

West Seattle Community Orchestras, a grassroots nonprofit founded in 2011, fosters musical growth, education, and appreciation. They welcome musicians of all ages and abilities, especially students (K-12) who participate at no charge. The organization provides performance opportunities through six ensembles.
Mission
West Seattle Community Orchestras provides community musicians of all ages and abilities with opportunities for performance and growth, inspiring the enjoyment of music-making through instruction and mentoring in mixed-age ensembles, culminating in quality group performances.
