The Western Society of Engineers, founded in Chicago in 1869, is a multidisciplinary society dedicated to developing engineering leaders, promoting engineering excellence and innovation, educating the public, and upholding high ethical standards. It began as the Civil Engineers' Club of the Northwest, evolving to encompass all engineering disciplines. WSE recognizes achievements through awards like the Washington Award and fosters professional growth through the Young Engineers Forum.
