The Whitman High School Education Foundation, est. 2005, supports Walt Whitman High School by funding unmet needs to maintain academic excellence. Initially focused on creating the school's courtyard, WHSEF now provides grants for media center support, tech, facility improvements, staff development, and program enhancements. It relies on parent and community contributions and collaborates with staff, students, and parents.
Mission
The Whitman High School Education Foundation supports Walt Whitman High School's efforts to achieve and sustain academic excellence by enhancing the intellectual, social, and physical experience of all Whitman students and the Whitman community. The foundation's work has become more critical as public funding has grown tighter and enrollment continues to increase.
