About
Women's Microfinance Initiative (WMI), founded in 2008, empowers women in East Africa by establishing village-level loan hubs. These hubs, run by local women, provide capital, training, and support services to help them start businesses and improve their families' lives. WMI's mission is to enable sustainable income generation and enhance living conditions for women in the lowest income brackets.
