The Young People’s Philharmonic of the Lehigh Valley, founded in 1976 (incorporated as a nonprofit in 1985), provides a supportive environment for young musicians. It consists of a full symphony orchestra for high schoolers and a string orchestra for middle schoolers. YPP aims to develop quality musicianship through studying and performing music with peers, offering advanced repertoire and school tours to increase classical music appreciation.
