Established in 1996, the Zone Five Regional Law Enforcement Training Center, located in Schenectady, NY, provides comprehensive training to new and veteran police officers and correction officers. The academy serves over 65 agencies across ten counties. Its 26-week basic course for police officers combines classroom instruction with practical experience. Thousands of officers have graduated from the Zone 5 Academy.

The Zone Five Regional Law Enforcement Training Center provides ongoing in-service training to police recruits and officers from city and county police departments. Established in 1988, the academy services police agencies from nine counties in upstate New York.
