The Alliance of Aboriginal Media Professionals empowers Indigenous creators by promoting their work, fostering cultural expression, and advocating for representation in media. They aim to enhance the visibility and impact of Aboriginal narratives in the industry.

TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR FOR THE 3 PM and 7 PM SCREENINGS. Celebrate Victoria High School&#39;s 150th anniversary with two special screenings of Motown High, the award winning documentary featuring the Vic High R&amp;B Band and Motown Superstar Martha Reeves. In 2005, music teacher Eric Emde and the band travelled to Detroit to perform for music students at a local high school. Ms. Reeves attended the performance and was so impressed with the Victoria students that she decided to mentor them. When she was invited to perform at the 2006 Victoria International Jazz Festival, she asked the students to be her back-up band at the Royal Theatre. This remarkable story, directed by Victoria filmmaker Barbara Hager, opened the 2008 Victoria Film Festival and was broadcast on Bravo and APTN. Join alumni of the Vic High R&amp;B Band and &quot;special guests&quot; at the Vic Theatre on Sunday, May 24 at 3 pm and 7 pm. Proceeds will benefit music in the schools programs in Victoria.
