Welcome to the 9th annual Thomas B. Schueck/nexAir Memorial Bass Tournament! Join us for a day filled with friendly competition and giving back. All proceeds from this event will go towards benefitting Arkansas welding students attending Arkansas welding training programs. Experience the thrill of competitive Bass fishing while supporting the AWS Central Arkansas section. Whether you are a seasoned fisherman or just starting out, this tournament is open to all skill levels. We&#39;re excited to host this event and hope to see you there! SCHUECK/ nexAir BENEFIT BASS TOURNAMENT WILL BE HELD ON April 18th, 2026, AT MOUNTAIN HARBOR RESORT. TOURNAMENT IS PRESENTED BY LEXICON &amp; nexAir. ALL PROCEEDS WILL BENEFIT THE THOMAS B. SCHUECK AND nexAir SCHOLARSHIP ANNUITY FUNDS.American Welding Society and section awards on Friday April 17th, 2026. Dinner provided for all attendees and sponsored by nexAir. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ENTRY OF ANY APPLICANT AT OUR DISCRETION.2. PARTICIPANTS &amp; ELIGIBILTY: ENTRY FEE IS $200.00 PER BOAT. Must be 18 years old or older or be accompanied by a certified Boater over the age of 18 years old.3. REGISTRATION: EACH TEAM CAN REGISTER ONLINE OR AT BOAT RAMP. WE ACCEPT ALL MAJOR CREDIT CARDS.4. SAFETY: SAFE BOATING WILL BE OBSERVED AT ALL TIMES. EACH PARTICIPANT IS REQUIRED TO WEAR A FASTENED U.S. COAST GUARD APPROVED LIFE PRESERVER ANYTIME THE BOAT IS ON PLANE. ALL BOATS MUST BE EQUIPPED WITH A KILL SWITCH.5. POLYGRAPHS: ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE SUBJECT TO A POLYGRAPH. ANY PERSON FAILING TO SUBMIT OR PASS A POLYGRAPH WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.6. SPORTSMANSHIP and Code of Conduct: AWS TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR HAS THE RIGHT TO REFUSE or DISQUALIFY ANY PARTICIPANT TO PARTICIPATE. ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO FOLLOW THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF SPORTSMANSHIP AND CONSERVATION. Anglers participating in this AWS Tournament event shall observe this code of conduct and the applicable rules for the specific event in which they are participating. Anglers and family members of anglers shall, always, conduct themselves in a professional manner that demonstrates integrity, honor and respect toward fellow competitors, tournament staff and the public and does not reflect unfavorably on CENTRAL ARKANSAS SECTION of AWS, its members, officers, representatives, tournaments, or sponsors. This includes social media of all kinds. Integrity, honor and the respect for others for all members, family and the CENTRAL ARKANSAS SECTION will be strictly upheld. AWS TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR reserves the right to make all judgment calls on negative actions and all decisions are final. Anglers have the right to make a complaint or grievance but must be done in writing and within 10 minutes of the closing of the scales during a tournament.7. BOAT AND MOTOR REGULATIONS: EACH BOAT MUST MEET ALL U.S. COAST GUARD AND STATE REGULATIONS.8. PERMITTED FISHING LOCATIONS: PARTICIPANTS MAY FISH ANYWHERE ACCESSIBLE BY BOAT, EXCEPT AREAS DESIGNATED AS OFF LIMITS, KEEP OUT OR NO BOATS BY FEDERAL, STATE OR LOCAL OFFICIALS OR WITHIN 50 YARDS OF OTHER COMPETITORS WHO WERE FIRST ANCHORED. ALL ANGLING MUST BE FROM THE BOAT. PARTICIPANTS MUST LEAVE FROM AND RETURN TO THE OFFICIAL CHECK POINT, THERE IS ONLY ONE CHECK POINT. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL CAUSE DISQUALIFICATION.9. PERMITTED FISHING METHODS: ALL BASS MUST BE CAUGHT IN A CONVENTIONAL SPORTING MANNER. ONLY ARTIFICIAL LURES OR PORK TRAILERS MAY BE USED. NO BAITING ALLOWED.10. TOURNAMNET HOURS: TOURNAMNET WILL BE SAFE LIGHT UNTIL 2:30 PM. No fishing information may be purchased, bartered, solicited or otherwise received from any person who entered official tournament waters during this event.11. TOURNAMENT SCORING: ONLY TEAMS THAT HAVE CHECKED IN AT THE OFFICIAL CHECK POINT, BEFORE THE OFFICIAL ENDING TIME OF THE TOURNAMENT, WILL BE ALLOWED TO WEIGH THEIR CATCH. EACH TEAM IS GIVEN A NUMBER CHIP AT TAKE-OFF, THEIR CHIP MUST BE IN THE BUCKET BY 2:30 PM FOR FIRST FLIGHT AND 2:40 PM FOR SECOND FLIGHT AND 2:50 FOR THE THIRD FLIGHT 3:00 FOR THE FOURTH FLIGHT! IF YOU CHECK IN LATE YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR WEIGHT OF THE DAY. ONLY LARGE MOUTH AND SPOTTED BASS WILL BE ACCEPTED. THERE WILL BE A 5 FISH LIMIT PER TEAM. THE OFFICIAL LENGTH FOR BASS WILL BE 13 INCHES, IF A TEAM PRESENTS A FISH THAT FAILS TO MEASURE, THE FISH WILL BE RELEASED AND TEAM WILL BE PENALIZED 1 POUND FOR EACH FISH FAILING TO MEASURE. EACH TEAM&rsquo;S CATCH MUST BE PRESENTED IN WATER FILLED WEIGH-IN BAG WITH AMPLE ROOM FOR THE FISH. ONLY ONE DEAD FISH PER TEAM WILL BE ALLOWED, AND TEAM WILL RECEIVE A .50 POUND PENALTY.12. TIES: IN CASE OF TIES, POSITIONS WILL BE RESOLVED BY COMBINING THE AWARDS AND POINTS AND DIVIDED EQUALLY. WHEN PRIZES CANNOT BE DIVIDED, THE WINNER WILL BE DECIDED BY A COIN TOSS.13. LIABILITY INSURANCE: ALL PARTICIPATING TEAMS ARE REQURIED TO HAVE LIABILITY INSURANCE AS DESCRIBED BY ARKANSAS LAW.14. LIVE WELLS: MUST BE CHECKED BEFORE YOU LEAVE TOURNAMENT TAKE-OFF POINT.15. ALCOHOL OR DRUGS: THERE IS NO ALCOHOL OR ILLEGAL DRUGS ALLOWED DURING TOURNAMENT HOURS.16. PROTEST: THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR OR MEMBERS OF THE AWS BOARD WILL MAKE ALL DECISIONS REGARDING A PROTEST. ANY AND ALL PROTEST MUST BE PRESENTED IN WRITING WITHIN 10 MINUTES OF COMPLETION OF WEIGH-IN.17. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST SIGN THE RELEASE OF LIABILITY FORM PRIOR TO START OF TOURNAMENT. If you are under the age of 18 a Parent or Legal Guardian will have to sign as well. LIABILITY WAIVER AND RELEASEIn consideration of being allowed to participate in the 9th Annual Thomas B. Schueck/nexAir Memorial Benefit Bass Tournament, I represent and agree as follows:1. There are no health-related reasons or problems which would preclude or restrict my participation in this activity, or which could cause such participation to pose a risk to me.2. I will observe and obey all rules and warnings and follow all instructions.3. I understand and appreciate that there are dangers, hazards, and risks inherent in this activity, including but not limited to overexertion, falls from docks, collisions with other boats, capsizing, falling overboard, severe weather, exposure to elements, and fish hooks being lodged in eye or other body parts, that could result in serious personal injury or even death.4. Knowing the dangers, hazards, and risks of such activity, and in consideration of being permitted to participate in the activity, on behalf of myself, my family, heirs, and personal representatives(s), I agree to assume all the risks and responsibilities surrounding my participation in the activity, and in advance release, waive, forever discharge, and covenant not to sue the AWS Central Arkansas Section, its directors, officers, volunteers, and employees from and against any and all liability for any harm, injury, damage, claims, demands, actions, causes of action, costs, and expenses of any nature that I may have or that may hereafter accrue to me, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including but not limited to suffering and death, that may be sustained by me, even if caused by the negligence or carelessness of the same (except intentional wrongdoing or willful misconduct).5. I sign this document as my own free act and deed; no oral representations, statements, or inducements, apart from what may be contained in this document, have been made.6. If any term or provision of this document shall be held illegal, unenforceable, or in conflict with any law governing this document, the validity of the remaining portions shall not be affected thereby, and, further, a court may modify this document to the extent necessary to give effect to the intention of the parties.
