Bub Strong Foundation

LXCL:The mission of the Bub Strong Foundation is to carry on the legacy of Bub Morgan, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2021, by organizing an annual golf scramble, pig roast, and men's lacrosse jamboree fundraising weekend every July near his birthday. The weekend’s proceeds benefit youth sports through the Outing Club (OC) in New London, pancreatic cancer research and support through the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN), and veteran organizations.

The 6th Annual Bub Strong Memorial Classic returns this summer for a weekend of competition, community, and remembrance. The golf tournament will again take place on Friday, July 10th, at the Country Club of New Hampshire, with a shotgun start at 9 am as teams tee off for a full day of golf. Please note that the pig roast, which was on Friday afternoon in past years, will now take place on Saturday afternoon at the Outing Club&#39;s Woodward Park on July 11th. The day will begin with lacrosse starting at 10:00 am, followed by the pig roast being served around 5 pm with cornhole to follow, where players, families, and the community can come together to celebrate the weekend, reconnect, and continue to honor Bub&rsquo;s legacy. The Bub Strong Foundation is a New Hampshire 501(c)(3) nonprofit incorporated in 2022 by family and friends in memory of Bub Morgan, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2021. The name Bub Strong originated from the local lacrosse community, which rallied around and supported him during his fight. The Bub Strong Memorial Classic weekend started as an opportunity to bring friends and family together around some of his favorite activities to remember his impact of creating a strong culture and community that lives on today, which values sportsmanship, honor, fairness, and respect, allowing everyone the opportunity to be the best person they can be. The mission of the Bub Strong Foundation is to carry on this legacy by organizing an annual golf scramble, pig roast, and men&#39;s lacrosse jamboree fundraising weekend every July near his birthday. The weekend&rsquo;s proceeds benefit youth sports through the Outing Club (OC) in New London, pancreatic cancer research and support through the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN), and veteran services. In addition, the Foundation awards two college scholarships to a senior girl and boy graduating lacrosse player at Kearsarge Regional High School who best exemplify Bub&#39;s spirit, tenacity, and courage. The Bub Strong Memorial Classic is more than a tournament. It is a weekend that brings friends, family, and the community together through sport, shared memories, and the continued spirit of Bub Strong. We can&#39;t wait to see you there!
