I understand that I am required to pay a Chatham Thunder registration fee for each athlete participating in Chatham Thunder Sports and will make payments in accordance with the following payment schedule:The payment schedule for the 2026-27 basketball season is as follows:$325 total/First year player$250 total/RETURNING player New shooting/warm-up shirts will be needed this season. These will be purchased by each individual new and returning player and will be yours to keep at the end of the season. The cost will be $40 per shirt.For families with multiple players participating, registration fees will be reduced by $25 for each child after the first child. 1st payment of $150 is due by SEPTEMBER 12, 2026Remainder is due by OCTOBER 1, 2026A check may be made to Chatham Thunder and turned in to the team coach. After the dues are paid, a uniform will be provided. The uniform remains the property of Chatham Thunder and must be returned at the end of the season. A shooting shirt will also be provided. The shooting shirt is the property of the athlete.After the end of the regular season in early March, players are expected to participate in the Homeschool Nationals Tournament in Gatlinburg, TN. Player cost for participation is included in the registration fee. However, there will be hotel costs for the tournament that week. There may also be extra tournaments during the season. Your coach will discuss those with you and determine if there is enough interest to play in those as a team. The cost of the tournaments will be divided among the team.

Our Booster Club is reaching out to area businesses seeking support for our upcoming sports seasons. Chatham Thunder is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit association that has a tax ID number with the state of North Carolina. Your involvement with our program will reach numerous families in Chatham County and surrounding areas.Chatham Thunder is a Christian homeschool sports organization started in 2012. We currently offer a competitive basketball program, open to area homeschool students, which has both boys and girls teams from middle school through high school. This past year we added high school and middle school baseball and cross country. We belong to the North Carolinians for Home Education Athletic Commission and compete against homeschool teams from across the state as well as local private and charter schools.All Chatham Thunder leaders and coaches are volunteers. The program is currently funded by player participation fees, concessions, and other fundraisers. As you can imagine, the costs associated with operating a sports organization can be expensive, including facility fees, officials, uniforms, etc. One hundred percent of your donation will go directly towards the costs of running the program and will allow us to keep our program affordable for local homeschool families.Included is a listing of corporate tier packages for the 2025-2026 sports year. During basketball season, we typically host 15-20 game days with 2-5 games each day. Individual sponsorships of any amount are also accepted.Chatham Thunder thanks you in advance for your support.
