CNY Sharks Mountain Bike Team Inc

CNY Mountain Bike Team fosters a welcoming community for young riders in Central New York. We provide scholarships, coaching, and resources to inspire confidence and a lifelong passion for biking among youth.

Join us for a fun, hands-on day of skills training and connection at Highland Forest! This female-led On-the-Bike 101 &amp; 102 clinic is open to all NICA female coaches. Whether you&rsquo;re working toward your Level 2 coach license, refreshing your skills for continuing education units (CEUs), or ready to progress toward OTB 201, this training is the perfect opportunity to grow your confidence and coaching toolkit. Coaches will learn and practice NICA&rsquo;s progressive mountain bike skills and instructional methods, including how to teach fundamentals safely, adapt to different learning styles, and create a positive and inclusive environment for student-athletes. The day blends teaching, riding, and plenty of fun, &nbsp;all guided by experienced NICA-certified female instructors who make the learning approachable and supportive. No matter your current level, you&rsquo;ll leave with new ideas, refined coaching techniques, and renewed energy for the season ahead.Who it&rsquo;s for:<ul data-end="1308" data-start="1089" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li data-end="1146" data-start="1089" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">NICA female coaches (or anyone identifying as female)</li><li data-end="1212" data-start="1147" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Coaches seeking Level 2 or 3 certification (OTB 101 required)</li><li data-end="1257" data-start="1213" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Coaches seeking CEUs or skill refreshers</li><li data-end="1308" data-start="1258" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Coaches interested in advancing toward OTB 201</li></ul>What to bring: A mountain or fat bike (e-bikes welcome), helmet, hydration, snacks, and weather-appropriate clothing.Lunch provided. Optional coaches&rsquo; ride to follow.

Womens' On-The-Bike (OTB) 101 & 201 - Highland Forest - Aug 20th

The CNY Sharks Holiday Silent Auction supports our youth mountain bike team for riders in grades 5&ndash;12 across Central New York. Funds raised help cover scholarships, safety equipment, and trail access so every student who wants to ride can join the team. Winning bidders will be contacted directly to coordinate pick-up or delivery between December 8&ndash;15, with most items available at Syracuse Bicycle (2540 Erie Blvd East, Syracuse). Hosting pickup at Syracuse Bicycle not only makes things easy for our donors but also helps bring a few more people through their doors during the busy holiday season.Your bids directly support our mission to get more kids on bikes and help build strong minds, bodies, character, and communities through cycling.

The CNY Sharks are growing, and your support helps every rider feel welcome, included, and excited to show up. Donations keep our program accessible by covering scholarships, coach training, loaner bikes, and the simple things that make practices and events run smoothly.
