The DC Blues Society promotes and supports blues music through events, competitions, and community outreach, fostering appreciation for the genre and providing opportunities for artists to showcase their talent.

🎉It&#39;s a Battle - A BLUES BATTLE! &nbsp;Come watch, listen, dance, and cheer on your favorites as 2 Solo-Duo acts and 4 Bands compete for the opportunity to represent the DC Blues Society at the 2027 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN. It&#39;s also a fundraiser to help defray the travel costs for the winners. Show your support and hear some great music. The Battle is being held at the Cissel-Saxon American Legion Post 41, 905 Sligo Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20910. Enter the Legion off of Fenton St, where there is a parking lot and public garage, both are free on Sundays. The Battle is held upstairs at the Legion.
