Wings for the Future
Heartland EAA Chapter 1240 exists to inspire, educate, and create pathways into aviation for the next generation.Based at Sebring Regional Airport, our volunteer-led organization introduces young people to flight through EAA Young Eagles, supports aviation and aerospace education for hundreds of local students, and works with exceptional partners to provide hands-on learning, industry certifications, mentorship, and flight-training scholarships. Our students are exposed to the full world of aviation — from piloting and unmanned aircraft to aerospace engineering, aircraft maintenance, powerplants, manufacturing, and design.Through partnerships with the Highlands County School Board, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, the Ray Foundation, Sebring Regional Airport, local aviation businesses, and an extraordinary community of pilots, educators, donors, and volunteers, we help turn curiosity into opportunity. Our mission is simple: open the door to aviation, give young people the tools to walk through it, and help them discover just how far they can fly.How you can help power our mission:Donate: Every dollar counts.
