The Figueroa Wu Family Foundation supports the Pilsen Food Pantry, providing essential food and resources to over 5,000 households monthly, while also addressing broader needs through medical services and anti-poverty programs.

We&#39;re reaching out to you today to support the incredible work of the Pilsen Food Pantry, a program of the Figueroa Wu Family Foundation. All of us at the Foundation are dedicated to promoting community wellness by tackling hunger, fighting racial and economic inequities, and creating a welcoming space for learning and cultural engagement. Our mission is vital in addressing social and health injustices with a focus on empowerment and sustainability. Your donation will directly impact our mission by:<ul fr-original-style="text-align: start;" style="text-align: start; box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;" style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; box-sizing: inherit;">Funding a critical gap to maintain the 50-60 pounds of fresh produce each household can receive twice monthly.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Funding to support volunteer and delivery services - meeting clients where they are (whether it be via language or transportation) ensures we are doing all we can to include the most vulnerable community members.</li></ul>The economic downturn of 2025 has affected the Pilsen Food Pantry in a significant way. Donations are down and there are less grant cycles. However, our costs have continued to climb and our operating budget now exceeds $600,000 annually. With that our impact is enormous (over 62,000 households served in 2024), but we try to stretch those dollars as much as we can and be good stewards of your trust. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us build a stronger and healthier community. As the only appeal for 2026, we appreciate your consideration and thank you for your generosity!
