Support Boodle Fight San Diego!
Thank you for your interest in supporting Merkado Kultura! Our most recent market, Merkado Kultura 4 (MK4) made its San Diego debut with the largest curation of vendors to-date. Founded in October 2022, Merkado Kultura brings a curated market from Manila and beyond, celebrating all things Philippines—our roots and heritage, culture and traditions, makers, artists, chefs, and artisans. Having grown up in the Philippines, co-founders and organizers France, Mel, and Bianca wanted to bring the experience of thoughtfully-curated Filipino bazaars and markets to the U.S. Working with artisan communities and small businesses, their aim is to highlight and amplify the amazing skills, artistry, and talents of Filipino makers, connecting them to Filipino communities in the US and beyond.Merkado Kultura hopes to be a platform for discovering Pilipinx and Pilipinx American brands that celebrate the culture, traditions, food, and products of the Philippines through handcrafted, artisanal, and sustainably-made pieces, one city at a time. This year we have ambitious plans to bring Merkado Kultura to FOUR major cities, including two new markets:MK5: San Francisco (April 2025)MK6: New York City (June 2025)MK7: Chicago (August/September 2025)MK8: San Diego (October 2025)Some amazing highlights:Merkado Kultura has hosted over 70 Filipinx and Filipinx American brands over the course of three years.Merkado Kultura vendors come not just from all over the country but all over the world, including New York, Manila, and Cebu.
