Headwaters for Heroes supports combat-wounded veterans and Gold Star families through community events and fundraising initiatives, fostering healing and camaraderie while honoring their sacrifices.

13th Annual Open Car Show

Join us for the 13th Annual Headwaters For Heroes Dinner and Live Auction on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Harper Community Hall211 Pioneer Park St. Harper, TX 78631 Doors Open at 4:30 p.m. A fun filled evening of food, fun, fellowship, and fundraising!  Featuring delicious food, cold drinks, raffles, auctions, and so much more! This year’s theme is Gratitude, as we honor Purple Heart Veterans and Gold Star Families, along with the donors, ranches, and supporters that make our mission possible.   This year's dinner will include Thick Cut Pork Chops, Smashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Salad, Rolls, and Dessert.

13th Annual Dinner & Live Auction Fundraiser

Headwaters For Heroes 13th Annual Sporting Clay Shooting Tournament to be held Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 8AM - 2PM at the beautiful Joshua Creek Ranch at 132 Cravey Road, Boerne, Texas.  Located in the renowned Texas Hill Country just 45 minutes northwest of San Antonio, Joshua Creek Ranch occupies a uniquely diverse terrain including miles of spring-fed, crystal-clear Joshua Creek and the famous Guadalupe River.  State-of-the-art automatic wireless Promatic traps are set among oak and elm trees to challenge shooter at every station to simulate the flights of various gamebirds.   Multiple Divisions to create an opportunity for every shooter include: Team, Youth, Gold Star Youth, Veteran, and First Responder. Individual Registration is $150; Team Registration is $600 (four shooters).  Early Bird Registration enters you into a limited drawing for a prize valued at over $500.   Registration includes morning beverages and a light breakfast, buffet style lunch includes smoked brisket, smoked sausage, borracha beans, potato salad, cole slaw, and all the trimmings.  Bar will be available after 11AM. Live Auction and Raffles too!  JAM Broadcasting will be there broadcasting live and playing music. 13th Annual Sporting Clay Shooting Tournament

14th Annual Harper BBQ Cook-Off benefiting Headwaters For Heroes a 501 (c)(3) non-profit located in Harper, TX will be held Friday, November 8 - Saturday, November 9, 2024 (Veterans Day Weekend) at 229 S. Ranch Road 783, Harper, TX 78631.  Categories are Brisket, Chicken, Ribs, and Pork Butt ($250 Entry Fee for all four meats).  Jackpot Categories will be Chili, Beans, and Youth Ribs (cooks ages 7 -17).  Entry fees for Jackpot Categories are $25 each.  Cooks Meeting will be held Friday night at 7:15 p.m.   100% Entry Fees Go To Payouts with Added Money.   Self-Contained On-Site Camping Allowed.  Contact Lara Borel @ 702-524-9324 or Damon Clark @ 830-739-1328 for more information!

2024 Fundraising Dinner and Auction

12th Annual Headwaters For Heroes Sporting Clay Shooting Tournament at the beautiful Joshua Creek Ranch on Saturday, May 18, 2024.  Not a shooter?  Enjoy the scenic hill country views, observe the free range wildlife to include pheasants and roadrunners that roam the property.  Take a break in the lodge, shop in the Pro Shop, visit the Cigar Lounge, enjoy a cold beverage on the patio.  You don't have to be a registered shooter to enjoy the event.  Breakfast will be light with coffee, tea, breakfast tacos, and an assortment of sweets.  Then lunch will be served buffet style on the patio and consists of Fajitas, Spanish Rice, Charro Beans, fresh tortillas and condiments.  Tea and water will be available. Full service bar will be available after 11:00 am.

Shooter Safety Meeting will be at 8:40 am with opening ceremonies and competition to follow. You will be rotate through different stations for a total of 100 shots. Shooting Awards will be presented at noon.    </div> Please see below waiver: WAIVER OF LIABILITYAs in all clay target shooting sports, there is the possibility of pellet deflection off trees, and other solid objects on the shooting course. Likewise, pieces of clay targets (and even whole targets) may fall near or even strike the shooter. I VOLUNTARILY ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY RISK OR LOSS, PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH that may be sustained, or any loss or damage to property as a result of being engaged in an activity.</li></ol> <ol><li style="box-sizing:inherit">I further hereby AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the ORGANIZATION and PROPERTY OWNER from any loss, liability damage or costs that may incur to participation in the EVENT.</li></ol> <ol><li style="box-sizing:inherit">It is my express intent that this Release and Hold Harmless Agreement shall bind the members of my family and spouse (if any), if I am alive, and my heirs, assignees and personal representatives, if I am not alive and shall be deemed as a RELEASE WAIVER, AND DISCHARGE of the above named ORGANIZAION and PROPERTY OWNER. I hereby further agree that this Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas.</li></ol> <ol><li style="box-sizing:inherit">I understand that the ORGANIZATION will not be responsible for any medical cost associated with any injury while participating in the EVENT.</li></ol> <ol><li style="box-sizing:inherit">I further agree to become familiar with the rules and regulations of the EVENT. I will further assume complete risk of any activity done in violation of any rule, directive, or instruction.</li></ol> IN SIGNING THIS RELEASE, I ACKNOWLEDGE AND REPRESENT THAT I have  read the foregoing Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement, understand it and inducements apart from the foregoing written agreement have been made; I am fully competent and I execute the Release for full adequate and complete consideration fully intending to be bound by same. You will be required to click the box that you acknowledge waiver for you and your team.
