HC Theatre Club Presents:&nbsp;&quot;Summer Camp: A Three Musical Showcase&quot; featuring selections from Little Shop of Horrors, Teen Beach Movie, and Be More Chill. The showcase highlights the creativity and talent of HC theater students through a fun, campy mix of musical numbers and scenes. From sci-fi horror to beachy pop to quirky high school comedy, the performance celebrates the over-the-top energy of musical theater while giving student performers the chance to explore a wide range of characters and styles. 48hr Play Festival&mdash;It all starts with a word. A spark of an idea. A challenge.&nbsp;Everyone is given one word. The group then divides into small teams (5 or less) of your own choosing. Teams take that word and turn it into an entire 10-15 minute play. In the following 48 hours, write, memorize, and stage the piece. It ends with a performance in front of an audience. 48 hours from start to finish. By attending this event, you support Hillsborough College Theatre Arts Program in giving students a real-world laboratory for storytelling and stagecraft. &nbsp;

The Trial Machine | Nov 4-7A Devised Theatrical Work based on the novel &quot;The Trial Machine&quot; by Franz Kafka Directed by Professor Ami Sallee&nbsp;K has been arrested. The crime: Unknown. This is where our story begins. The Trial Machine is a dark comedy based on Franz Kafka&rsquo;s novel, The Trial, originally published a century ago. The heart of this story could have been written today and highlights just how easily one can get stuck in the legal system with no recourse or clear way out. K&rsquo;s frustration with bureaucracy and the absolute ridiculousness involved in navigating government processes are heightened to the degree of absurdity in this devised homage to German Expressionism.&nbsp;
