Malik Temple #270 is dedicated to community service and philanthropy, organizing events like the Potentate's Charity Ball Weekend to raise funds for charitable initiatives that support local needs and enhance the quality of life in the community.

The purpose of the National Community Health Initiative (NCHI) is to promote education and awareness about diseases and health conditions that disproportionately affect communities of color and to eliminate associated health disparities. Additionally, the NCHI aims to improve the lives of the AEAONMS family and the communities in which we are residents through health promotion, outreach, and advocacy. Diabetes is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in the United States. While this disease transcends all racial and ethnic boundaries, it has a higher prevalence among minority populations, especially African Americans. Our initiative is to raise awareness concerning Diabetes in the African American communities within our city, along with other diseases and health conditions that affect the African American bodies. Our partnerships with the American Heart Association, National Diabetes Association, Sickle Cell, and many other organizations are primarily geared toward raising funds for these diseases and health conditions and educating the public about these critical health issues that disproportionately impact people of color and those of low socioeconomic status. We kindly request your support for our NCHI Walk, which aims to raise awareness and educate about diabetes, heart disease, sickle cell, and other health issues that disproportionately impact communities of color. Your support helps promote health outreach, advocacy, and community education, contributing to the fight against health disparities and helping create healthier communities.
