Through The Porch-Light Initiative, we provide practical support to Mississippi families through food assistance, clothing, school resources, maternal and infant support, emergency aid, senior outreach, and more. We believe help should preserve dignity and remind people they aren't alone. We fought for life. Now we fight to live. Together, we're leaving the light on for Mississippi.

Fall Crawl Festival brings our community together to support Mississippi Life Alliance&rsquo;s mission to protect life from conception to natural death. Enjoy a relaxed evening with family-friendly activities, local vendors, and opportunities to learn more about pro-life advocacy. Your participation helps fund NICU Baskets, School Clothing Closets, Aging Out Backpacks for Foster Children, Benevolence Ministry which helps families in need of help with rent or utilities, and much more. We are changing things and making it a little different this year!&nbsp;We are going to have our first EVER Walk For Mississippi at our first ever FALL CRAWL: a community wide halloween block party - bringing together families and Churches, Businesses, Clinics, Schools, Resource Centers and community partners as vendors for one unforgetable night of fall fun in the heart of Mississippi!&nbsp;The crawl will transform the community into an interactive Trick-Or-Treat filled trail with decorated sponsor booths (prizes awarded for crowd favorite), candy stations, food trucks, a bounce house, games, entertainment and family fun for all ages with local business and community sponsor tables along the route creating the &quot;festive crawl&quot; experience while families connect, play, and celebrate together in a safe, nurturing fun enviroment! There will be prizes awarded for: the walker who raises the most money, the team that raises the most money, and prizes for costumes follow our Facebook page at Mississippi Life Alliance for more details.This year we are not only walking for life, but for Mississippi as well. LET&rsquo;S GET HER LIGHTS BACK ON.Sometimes leaving the light on isn&rsquo;t a metaphor.Today, a mom in our community is sitting in a home without power.Her electricity has already been disconnected. She has been trying to find help, calling the places people tell you to call when things go sideways, and she has not been able to find anyone who can step in.We can.We need to raise $500 to get her electricity restored.That&rsquo;s the immediate need in front of us. Not a long-term campaign. Not a complicated project.$500 gets the lights back on. THIS IS WHAT OUR BENEVOLENCE FUND IS FOR.It exists for the moments when a family has exhausted the usual options and still needs somebody to answer the phone.And right now, that fund is running incredibly low - we have had record number requests and we are doing our best to help as many of them as we can.&nbsp;We&rsquo;ve been saying yes to the needs in front of us.Now we need some help making sure we can keep saying yes.If you can give **$10, $25, $50&mdash;or cover a larger piece of the $500&mdash;**we can get to work getting her power restored.And if enough comes in to carry us beyond this one electric bill, it stays where it belongs: in the Benevolence Fund, ready for the next family who calls. $2000.
