The festival brings together leading and emerging artists in performances that span generations and styles. Rooted in the neighborhood’s rich musical legacy of Tin Pan Alley and the Great American Songbook, the festival honors jazz history while championing its future. Launched in 2025, the inaugural festival featured a weeklong series of performances across NoMad and Flatiron, showcasing more than 170 artists and culminating in a two-day Main Stage event in Madison Square Park that drew tens of thousands of visitors and set attendance records for a public program in the Park. Now expanding into year-round programming in 2026 – including the NoMad Jazz Festival Concert Series, Jazz in the NoMad Piazza, and special events across neighborhood venues and public spaces – the festival continues to grow its impact. Anchored by a flagship Main Stage that remains free and open to all, the NoMad Jazz Festival has quickly established itself as one of New York City’s most inclusive, dynamic cultural events, powered by community collaboration and creativity.
