Rancho Burro Donkey Sanctuary

LXCL:Rancho Burro Donkey Sanctuary rescues and provides a safe haven for donkeys and mules, offering them care and rehabilitation. Our mission is to promote the welfare of these animals and educate the public about their needs and importance.

Family Tours at Rancho Burro:&nbsp;Relax in the shade while we share the inspiring rescue stories and wonderful personalities of our resident donkeys! Designed with families in mind, this tour offers a fun look into what it takes to care for these amazing animals. Because safety is our highest priority, hands-on proximity to the donkeys is restricted for children under 8 years old&mdash;ensuring a secure, educational, and memorable experience for guests of all ages. Duration: 1 Hour Tour Guidelines and Rules:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Ensure you have NO food or strong-smelling items on your person, as this may encourage the donkeys to nibble. NO FEEDING of the donkeys is allowed at any time.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Please, NO Yelling around the donkeys. They have very sensitive ears.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Please, NO Running around the donkeys. They are very gentle and like calm, slow, caring movements and touch.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Please turn your phone on silent, and if you answer your phone, please do so by the cars.&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">You are welcome to take pictures and videos of the donkeys.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Wear closed-toe, sturdy shoes (required). Bring a hat or coat. Wear weather-appropriate attire. Please secure all loose personal items (sunglasses, jewelry, scarves, or bags) as donkeys may nibble or pull on them.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">NO DOGS ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY. Come meet the long-eared residents of Rancho Burro 🫏 Our guided family tours share how rescued donkeys and mules come to the sanctuary, the daily care they receive, and what humane treatment really looks like. During your visit you&rsquo;ll hear individual rescue stories, see feeding and grooming areas up close, and learn simple ways you can support donkey welfare in your own community. 🎉 Tour Guidelines and Rules:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Ensure you have NO food or strong-smelling items on your person, as this may encourage the donkeys to nibble. NO FEEDING of the donkeys is allowed at any time.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Please, NO Yelling around the donkeys. They have very sensitive ears.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Please, NO Running around the donkeys. They are very gentle and like calm, slow, caring movements and touch.</li><li fr-original-style="" id="isPasted" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Please turn your phone on silent, and if you answer your phone, please do so by the cars.&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" id="isPasted" style="box-sizing: inherit;">You are welcome to take pictures and videos of the donkeys.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Wear closed-toe, sturdy shoes (required).
