River Town Racers

River Town Racers trains youth and adults in competitive kayaking, promoting fitness and river skills. They host community events like the Egg Hunt to raise funds for equipment and scholarships, fostering a love for the river and active lifestyles.

🌊. Led by River Town Racers coaches, join us for a hands on week summer kayaking clinic where campers learn the fundamentals of this Olympic sport&mdash;balance, basic strokes, water safety, and teamwork&mdash;in a supportive, fun environment with plenty of individual attention.Each day starts with interactive land games that build confidence, teamwork, and positive connections. On day one, campers hop into our racing boats and learn how to balance like pros. From there, our expert coaches teach proper paddling technique and essential safety skills so every athlete feels confident on the water. Along the way, campers build focus, patience, perseverance, and teamwork&mdash;all while enjoying the calming benefits of being outdoors on the water.Safety is always our top priority, and life vests are worn at all times. Expect tons of on- and off-water games, a midweek Popsicle Day and plenty of fun on the water.By the end of the week, campers leave proud, confident, and ready for their next challenge. Many choose to continue with our year-round or competitive programs&mdash;but participation is always optional.

Sprint Kayaking Camp

Join River Town Racers for The Great Rivertown Egg Hunt 🥚🚣 Bring your family to the riverside for a fun egg hunt that helps support Petaluma&rsquo;s competitive and community-based kayak team. We train youth and adults in sprint racing, river skills, and lifelong fitness. This event raises funds for equipment, coaching, scholarships, and outreach while bringing families to the river in a joyful spring celebration.
