The Russell School Parents Association supports the school community by organizing events and fundraising activities, enhancing educational resources and experiences for students, while fostering a sense of connection among families and staff.

The CIRCUS is coming to Chorleywood! The National Festival Circus will be coming to The Russell School on Saturday 27th June for not just one, not two but three magical &lsquo;hour long&rsquo; shows! Show Times:1pm2.30pm4pm General Admission Tickets (adults &amp; children) - &pound;12Family Ticket (4 people) - &pound;42Babies &amp; Toddlers 2yrs and under - FREE (ticket required) Licenced Bar, Refreshments &amp; Hot Food stalls will all be avavilable before and after the shows. We&rsquo;ve got you covered with a quick Q&amp;A:Do I need to buy tickets for every child I&rsquo;m bringing?Yes, please &mdash; even babies and toddlers up to 2yrs need a FREE ticket to sit on a lap. The Big Top has a&nbsp;strict&nbsp;200-person limit for insurance reasons.Can I bring a pushchair?Yes, but due to safety and space limitations, pushchairs can&rsquo;t be brought inside the tent. There will be a marked area outside the tent where you&rsquo;re welcome to leave them, though please note this is at your own risk.What about wheelchairs?Absolutely &mdash; wheelchairs are very welcome. Just drop us an email at&nbsp;friends@russell.herts.sch.uk&nbsp;to let us know ahead of time so we can make space arrangements.Can I bring the whole family?Yes! Please do invite friends and family &ndash; neighbours, grandparents, cousins etc to join the fun.Can I book both shows?We&rsquo;re asking families to choose one show only, to give everyone a fair chance to join the fun.&nbsp;Will there be food and refreshments available?Yes! There will be a bar and hot food for you to purchase at the event.Are there toilets on-site?Yes!Which entrances can I use to the school site on the day?All access to the Circus will be via the main school gate (Brushwood Drive). The back gate will not be open.Will there be animals in the show?No animals &mdash; just a fantastic line-up of talented human performers ready to dazzle and delight!When will I receive my ticket?Once purchased, you will automatically be emailed a PDF ticket (from Zeffy) with a unique QR code which you will need to show on the day.Is this a fundraiser?Yes, but only in the gentlest sense! We&rsquo;ve kept ticket prices as low as possible, and any profit will go directly back to supporting the school. Our amazing Friends of The Russell School (FoRS) will be running a bar and refreshments stall on the day to help raise extra funds for school resources. National Festival Circus @ The Russell School

Join us for the Russell School Colour Run 2026 on Saturday 3rd October at 3pm! Event Details:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Saturday 3rd &nbsp;October, 3pm &ndash; 5pm, The Russell School</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Who can come? Friends and family of The Russell School &ndash; parents, grandparents, older siblings &ndash; everyone is welcome!</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Race Entry Fee: &pound;7 per participant (adult or child over 3 yrs)</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Spectator Entry: &pound;2.50 per person (under 3yr olds free but still need a ticket) - come and cheer on the runners and enjoy the refreshments!</li></ul>&nbsp;What to Expect:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">A high-energy warm-up to get you race-ready!</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">A colour explosion course around the school playing field &ndash; run, walk, dance, or hop your way to the finish! It&rsquo;s all about fun, not speed. Get showered in vibrant powder as you make your way through the course.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Anyone aged 3 to 99 is welcome to do the run. What is the coloured powder made from?The coloured powder is non-toxic, made using natural ingerdients from corn starch and vegetable and food-grade dyes (EN71 Certified).&nbsp; What should I wear if I am running?- Wear comfy sports clothes and sturdy trainers (no crocs or sliders)- White or black t-shirt - the paint powder shouldn&rsquo;t stain but we can&rsquo;t guarantee this!- Sunglasses or goggles - children &amp; adults must have eye protection to join the run. Anything else I should bring?- Water bottles - there will be a refill station. A selection of soft drinks will also be available to purchase.&nbsp;- A towel and baby wipes might come in handy afterwards!&nbsp; Will there be food and refreshments available?Yes!
