The International Queen &amp; King of Samba Competition was created by Angelique Starks, who later entrusted the program to Samba N&rsquo; Motion. With this transition, the event expanded from the National to the International Queen &amp; King of Samba, honoring the global samba community. Each brings a distinct lineage, technique, and cultural depth, creating a unique constellation of samba excellence to inspire every participant. Contestants are expected to show genuine respect and commitment to Brazilian culture, especially the Afro‑Brazilian roots of samba. Samba N&rsquo; Motion provides a culturally grounded environment, professional structure, and opportunities for artistic and community growth.
